The new year has brought new beginnings to the Breathworks team, and we are thrilled to announce Nathan Jarvis as our new CEO.

Nathan has extensive experience in the charity sector and fundraising, with a focus on food poverty and disability, which will be a positive drive towards our mission of making mindfulness accessible to more people.

Passionate about offering help to those on the margins, Nathan created and directed a CIC  focussing on supporting the homeless, rough-sleepers and young families in North Wales.

Nathan's background is originally in marketing and communications having worked in publishing for ten years before going back to college to train to be an Anglican priest. After almost twenty years, he decided to focus on the charity sector and still ministers in the Diocese of Chester.

On faith and spirituality, he sees the connections and opportunities across faith traditions and the secular world of mindfulness and meditation and is really looking forward to working with Breathworks. Of his new appointment, Nathan says:

“I am thrilled to be working with such a well respected and loved organisation in an area of work which is close to my heart. I'm passionate about finding new ways of supporting people who live with pain, anxiety and stress. Mindfulness and meditation is a life-changer and I want to see more people's lives transformed and refreshed.”

Nathan has a partner and two children and lives in the wilds of Snowdonia with three dogs, chickens, two beehives and far too many other animals. He loves wild swimming, cooking, walking and meditating in the woodlands and mountains of North Wales.

With an exciting year ahead of us launching new programme offerings, developing funding channels and deepening our social impact, we know that Nathan’s fresh energy and experience will be a great asset to Breathworks and we are looking forward to what’s to come.
