A Breathing Space for Carers

This Breathing Space course recognises that the effort of caring for or supporting a relative or friend who is living with a serious long-term illness, such as MS, inevitably takes its toll. Stress can impact directly on both your physical and mental wellbeing without you even being aware of it. It can become increasingly hard to find the space to catch your breath, to find some balance in your life. Through the skill of mindfulness, the central skill taught in this course, carers can learn how to manage and reduce stress and its effects, and find ways to care for themselves, as well as the person in their care. The course is open to all family carers.
  • When? Wednesdays 7.30pm - 9.30pm, for five weeks. Next dates to be added when finalised
