Residential retreats are currently run at the Taraloka Retreat Centre in Shropshire. The centre is a Buddhist retreat centre and accommodation consists of shared 2 - 4 bedded rooms. There are a few single rooms and these are usually allocated on special needs on a first come first serve basis. Part of the course involves some domestic help, such as washing up and a one hour clean-up period on the last morning. Breathworks sees this as a way of practising mindfulness in daily life. Costs The standard costs for each training retreat, fully inclusive of accommodation, food and tuition, are: • if paid for by institution or organisation £880 (£750 excl. VAT) These events are held in different locations Two-day events (including Mindful Movement Weekends): • if paid for by institution or organisation £250 (£213 excl.VAT)
This cost provides one hour per week for supervision and support over the eight week practice course (All costs/fees will increase in January 2011 when VAT increses from 17.5% to 20%) Cancellation Policy Breathworks training retreats are very popular but there are a limited number of spaces. So it is important that any cancellation, or changes, to bookings are made well in advance. To book for a training retreat in the UK, Breathworks requires a £100 non-refundable deposit. If it is necessary to change your booking to another Breathworks trainers retreat you can transfer your deposit up to 8 weeks before the retreat starts, subject to a £35 administration charge. Full payment for the retreat is due no later than 4 weeks prior to the retreat start date. Failure to make the full payment 4 weeks before the retreat will result in the loss of your place on the retreat as well as your deposit (unless a prior arrangement has been confirmed by our office). If you need to cancel your place after you have paid in full, it is unlikely that we will be able to refund your fee unless we are able to fill your place.
