About Me:
Image of Jyotipakshini Rigg - Breathworks Accredited TeacherI have been working with  Breathworks  CIC since 2006, mostly running mindfulness based courses for people with pain or chronic  illness in Scotland. More recently I have been happy to include Breathworks  Mindfulness for Stress courses in my repertoire.

As an Associate Trainer for Breathworks  since 2013  I am involved in training and supervising trainee Breathworks teachers and I greatly enjoy watching their development as they gain skills in the Breathworks  mindfulness approach.

I came across meditation in 1990 and took to it straightaway, starting a regular practice which I still maintain. It also had a positive effect on my life and work as an educational psychologist and I became calmer and happier. I had qualified as a Chartered Psychologist in 1980s and subsequently became an Associate Fellow of the British Psychology Society. Since I retired in 2002 I have been able to combine my experience of meditation practice with my therapeutic skills (in particular CBT) and have run many mindfulness courses for people who suffer from bouts of depression, based on Kabat-Zinn’s work. Additionally I have led a number of successful retreats for women looking for a mindfulness approach to making decisions and changing their lives.

About Me:
Image of Elaine Bradley - Breathworks Accredited TeacherMy background is in education and training, having spent many years delivering university degree courses and team development programmes in organisations. I began practicing mindfulness in 2000 and found the practices so invaluable that I went on to complete formal training in both MBSR and Breathworks mindfulness approaches. I currently teach mindfulness in the community and workplace and more recently completed training in .b Mindfulness in Schools to support teachers in bringing mindfulness into schools and universities.  As well as meeting the requirements of the UK Network of Mindfulness-Based Teacher Trainers, I also hold a BA (Hons) in Commerce and an MPhil in Psychology.

About Me:
My background is in nursing; specialising in community palliative care with hospices in Bristol and Inverness for 17 years. However, for the past 20 years I have been working with the University of Aberdeen as a Research Nurse in remote and rural healthcare based in Inverness. I gained an MSC in Public Health in 2002.

I began meditating and practicing mindfulness in 2007. Since then I have been learning. I studied with the University of Aberdeen and the Mindfulness Association on the MSc in Mindfulness Studies programme, graduating with a Diploma in 2012. I then undertook my teacher training with Breathworks qualifying in 2015.

Since then, I have been enjoying delivering mindfulness courses in Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland. I learn alongside the participants in the courses, appreciating the teachings again and again and again. Teaching mindfulness really helps to keep my own practice alive and fresh; I love it.

I continue to be impressed with the way the courses have been sculpted; so well formed that they almost stand for themselves. I aim to bring them alive with the course participants each week; relating the teaching to our everyday experiences and lives.
