This class is suitable for those wishing to enquire more deeply into the possibilities of compassion-based approaches, and for those whose personal or mindfulness-based teaching includes a significant emphasis on kindness and compassion.

 About Colette

Colette Power Breathworks Compassion Masterclass

I'm a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) teacher/supervisor and a guest MSC teacher for the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice (CMRP). I trained to teach Mindful Self-Compassion with Kristin Neff, Christopher Germer, Kristy Arbon and Michelle Becker in 2014. I deliver the MSC Course in 8 week and Intensive formats and I lead silent MSC retreats.

I’ve been teaching mindfulness-based courses since 2011. I trained with Vidyamala Burch and I’m a senior Breathworks Mindfulness teacher/trainer. I trained to teach Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) with Rebecca Crane & Sarah Silverton. I deliver training across a range of sectors including education, health and business, also working with people on a one-to-one basis using mindfulness, self-compassion and enquiry skills. I’m an experienced retreat leader and offer meditation and mindfulness-based retreats in the UK and Europe.

I hold a doctorate from The University of Liverpool School of Sociology and Social Policy and have lectured in sociology, research methodology and women's and gender studies. I have also worked as a social researcher commissioned by the National Health Service. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and have worked with people suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, low self-esteem and depression. I also taught counselling skills in Liverpool for many years.
